Bugatti has made a new car called the Bugatti Tourbillon, the first car produced by the company after Mate Rimac merged with Bugatti to create Bugatti Rimac and become the company's CEO. This car is set out to be one of the fastest cars in the world and the fastest car that Bugatti has ever produced.

The Design and Aerodynamics

The Bugatti Tourbillon, the successor to the Chiron, boasts a sleek and aerodynamic design characterized by a refined and aggressive front fascia with sharp, narrow LED headlights and the iconic horseshoe grille. Its smooth yet dynamic body lines, including a pronounced C-shaped side profile, enhance its aerodynamic efficiency. The large, intricately designed alloy wheels complement the car's high-performance tyres, while the sophisticated finish highlights its elegant yet fierce stance. The tail lights of this car are sleek and unbroken, like those on the Bugatti La Voiture Noire. This hypercar's design not only exudes luxury but also ensures optimal airflow management and high-speed stability.

Interior Design

The sporty and recognizable interior design of the Tourbillon

The interior of the Bugatti Tourbillon is a luxurious and sophisticated space, featuring a rich blue colour scheme across its premium leather-upholstered seats, dashboard, and door panels. The multifunctional steering wheel, adorned with the Bugatti emblem, complements the blend of digital and analogue instrumentation on the dashboard. This steering wheel stands out from any other car manufactured by Bugatti because when the wheel is turned, only the periphery rotates while the centre of the wheel showcasing the logo and the dials stay in one place.

The sleek centre console houses an array of controls and a distinctive gear selector, while polished metal accents and carbon fibre trims enhance the high-tech aesthetic. This meticulously designed cabin combines comfort, functionality, and cutting-edge style, epitomizing Bugatti's commitment to excellence.

Performance Specifications

Bugatti claims that this car will be the fastest car that they have produced so far. This is the first hybrid that Bugatti will produce and the performance specifications are mind-blowing. It has a massive 8.3 litre naturally aspirated V-16 engine which puts out 1000 horsepower alone. It has 3 electric motors - 2 at the front and 1 at the rear, which combined put out 800 horsepower. Combined, the Tourbillon puts out 1800 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. It weighs 1995 kgs with the fuel and necessary liquids. With this power, Bugatti claims that the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 445 km/h (276 mph). Since it is a plug-in hybrid, this car can run in a purely electric mode for which Bugatti claims the range to be more than 60 kms.

Successor to the Chiron

As mentioned earlier, the Tourbillon is the Successor to the Bugatti Chiron as indicated by the C-type side design, the huge front grille and the 4 part LED headlight. But, it comes with a lot of new features to keep up with the trend of current hypercars and supercars. To begin with, this car is the first hybrid Bugatti to exist. The hybrid era of hypercars is upon us with almost every car manufacturing company following this because it has been proven to deliver results and high performance. Another distinguishing factor is the steering wheel, in which only the wheel moves and the Bugatti logo and the dials remain fixed.

Mate Rimac is known to be the founder of his own car company called Rimac, which produced the fastest electric hypercar called the Rimac Nivera. This car has broken the charts with respect to acceleration and pick-up. Under his supervision as the CEO of Bugatti Rimac, we can be certain that the Tourbillon will deliver the results and will be worth the hype. The production of this car is set to commence in 2026, so we look forward to it!
